It offers a poignant opportunity for viewers to intimately connect with the gallant figures adorned in uniform, whose unwavering dedication enriches the tapestry of America's heritage.

Each brushstroke narrates tales spanning from the battlefields of World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, to the steadfast resolve of current enlisted troops. Through the lens of these compelling images, Ringling College Galleries endeavors to humanize the narratives of these conflicts, encapsulating the profound significance for our service men and women. It is a collective aspiration that these portraits transcend mere visuals, becoming emotive windows into the depths of courage, resilience, and sacrifice that define the essence of our armed forces. This year’s theme is the Greatest Generation the, highlighting their experiences during the Great Depression, their roles in World War II, and their contributions to post-war rebuilding.
